BJP releases second list of candidates for 72 constituencies

New Delhi: In preparation for the impending Lok Sabha elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) released its second list of 72 candidates on Wednesday.

Some of the prominent candidates are Union Minister Nitin Gadkari (Nagpur),former Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai (Haveri), Pankaja Munde (Beed), Anil Baluni (Garhwal), Harsh Malhotra (East Delhi), former Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar (Karnal), Rao Inderjit Singh (Gurgaon),former Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat (Hardwar), and Tejasvi Surya (Bangalore South).

Union Ministers Pralhad Joshi (Dhawad), Shobha Karandlaje (Bangalore North), Piyush Goyal (Mumbai North) Anurag Singh Thakur (Hamirpur), are also in the list.

Twenty candidates have been declared in Maharashtra, indicating that disagreements over seat sharing have been resolved in Mahayuti.

On March 2, the party unveiled its initial list of 195 candidates from 16 states and Union Territories.
